DAR-GAD goes clean, green and lean in 2010.  (Publishing Date: Thursday, April 15, 2010 2:27 PM) Over 100 tree seedlings were planted at the DAR compound during the Tree Planting activity last March 22, 2010. Go Negosyo Trade Fair.  (Publishing Date: Thursday, April 15, 2010 2:27 PM) About 49 stalls were set up at the DAR covered court last March 23-27, 2009 for the 2009 Go Negosyo Trade Fair which showcased not only the Agrarian Reform Community (ARC) products of the Women Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries (ARBs) from the different regions in the country but also products of private entrepreneurs and DAR employees.
Medical Mission. Publishing Date: Thursday, April 15, 2010 (10:32 AM) Doctors on General Surgeon, OB-Gyne, Cardiologist, Dermatologist and Ophthalmologist offered a whole day consultation to the DAR employees during the medical mission last March 24, 2009 at the DAR Building Lobby, DAR Central Office. Aside from consultations, medical tests such as bone scanning, FBS, ECG and eye refraction were provided. Free medicines were also distributed that day. The activity is in line with the week-long celebration of the 2009 Women's Month.
2010 DAR Women's Month Opening Ceremony.  Publishing Date: Thursday, April 15, 2010 (10:32 AM) The celebration of the 2009 DAR Women's Month was formally opened on March 22, 2010 during the flag ceremony at the DAR Multi-Purpose Gym. The theme of this year's celebration is Babae, Tagumpay ka ng Bayan highlighting women's achievement in paving the way for women's advancement and empowerment amidst challenges. Artist Environmentalist Chin-Chin Gutierrez graced the occassion and delivered a message to a full-packed audience

The Participants for the Alay Lakad sa Taga DAR gathered early Tuesday morning at the DAR Central Office. The walk for a cause started at DARCO and went around Quezon City Memorial Circle.The activity aimed to raise funds for the employees of the department who were diagnosed with cancer.

Secretary Pangandaman receiving a complimentary token from H.E. Senator Justice (Retd) Abdul Razzak A. Thatim, Minister for Local Government and Rural Development, Governement of Pakistan, during the inaugural session of the 17th Regular Meeting of the CIRDAP Governing Council (GC17). The Secretary was further congratulated by the Minister for being a perceptive and astute leader of the Council from CY 2007-2009. Sec. Pangandaman was elected as GC Chair in CY 2007during the occasion of the 16th Regular Meeting of Cirdap GC, held in Manila, Philippines. CIRDAP is a regional cooperation body whose representatives are high ranking officials from 14 developing nations including Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Nepal, Sri Lanka, India, Lao PDR, Myanmar, Thailand, Vietnam and Philippines.

Pangandaman accepts the CIRDAP complimentary emblem from Director General Dr. Durga Paudyal, during the inaugural session of the 17th Regular Govering Council Committee Meeting of the Centre on Integrated Rural Development for Asia and the Pacific at Hotel Sheraton, Dhaka, Bangladesh on 26 January 2010. Sec. Pangandaman said that the Philippines will remain committed to the vision and mission of the CIRDAP which is the promotion of inter-governmental cooperation n pursuing integrated rural development as well as pro-poor poverty reduction programs in Asia and the Pacific region. He emphasized that agrarian reform continues to be a fundamental vehicle towards rural development.
