DAR 6 launched Oplan Zero Backlog

The Department of Agrarian Reform Region VI Agrarian Legal Services family pledge their support and commitment to deliver a zero backlog for calendar year 2019.

 In line with President Rodrigo R. Duterte’s directive to fast track the cases under CARP implementation, the DAR Central Management Team posed a challenge to field offices to achieve a zero backlog for CY 2019 in the resolution of cases in relation to Agrarian Justice Delivery of the Comprehensive Agrarian Reform Program (CARP). According to Regional Director Stephen M. Leonidas, the DAR Region VI team is the first among the Field Offices to formally accept and commit to the fruition of this endeavour.

 In a two-day activity held on February 21 to 22 2019, at Eon Centennial Hotel Resort and Waterpark in Iloilo City, the Agrarian Legal Services (ALS) team of Region VI pledged their support and commitment to attain a zero backlog through the induction of the Pledge of Commitment by Atty. Marjorie P. Ayson, Director of the Bureau of Agrarian Legal Assistance, and by signing the Zero Backlog Commitment Wall. The Regional ALS team is composed of the Legal Assistance Division headed by Assistant Regional for legal sector, Gideon A. Umadhay Jr. and the DAR Adjudication Board headed by Regional Agrarian Reform Adjudicator Jose Maria C. Combatir. Participating in the activity are the Chiefs of the Legal Assistance Division with their respective legal officers, as well as the Provincial Agrarian Reform Adjudicators with their respective Clerks of the Adjudicators. Gracing the activity are Atty. Mary Mae Gadon of DARCO sharing her expertise on land use conversion, and Ms. Shiela T. David, for cleansing and updating of the Legal Case Monitoring System (LCMS).
