MAYOYAO, Ifugao - The Department of Agrarian Reform-Ifugao conducted Agrarian Justice on WHEELS at Mayoyao, Ifugao participated by several barangay residents to more than 300 Farmer Beneficiaries, on December 3-5, 2019.
The rights and obligations of Agrarian Reform Beneficiary (ARB) were given emphases during the thee-day activity and a dialogue regarding the inclusion of actual tillers in the collective Certificate of Land Ownership Award (CLOA) issued to several barangays within the municipality were among the issues properly addressed.
PARPO II Deogracias F. Almora, Atty Johnson P. Nasdoman, and Presidential Agrarian Reform Coordinating Committee (PARCCOM) member Peter Gannaban were among the group who wheeled to the municipality.
Agrarian Justice Delivery (AJD) is one of the three program components and objectives of the Comprehensive Agrarian Reform Program (CARP) in the Philippines, as implemented by the Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR). AJD aims to provide legal support to ARBs in the course of Agrarian disputes through alternative dispute resolution such as mediation, and questions in the identification and selection of farmer-beneficiaries among others.
Coinciding with the conduct of Agrarian Justice on WHEELS was the distribution of 323 Certificates of Land Ownership Award (CLOA) to 160 Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries (ARBs), which includes barangays Mongol, Banhal, Chaya, Poblacion, Bongan, and Mapawoy. – by Joy In-uyay
