P1.7 M Worth of aid Given to Benguet

       LA TRINIDAD, Benguet – The Department of Agrarian Reform – Cordillera turned-over more than P1 million worth of assistance to various groups in the province.

            The agency through the leadership of Regional Director Eugene P. Follante, procured P1,785,000 worth of farm machineries and equipment under the Climate Resilient Farm Productivity Support (CRFPS) Project.

            Eleven Agrarian Reform Beneficiary Organizations (ARBOs) were given two power sprayers each, amounting to P990,000.

            These are the Cattubo Multipurpose Cooperative, Naguey MPC, Topdac MPC of Atok; Bakun Farmers and Employees MPC of Bakun; Karao-Ekip Tribal Regreening Movement, Inc. of Bokod; Ballay-Bukahan, Tinaleb-Liang Kubbo Consumers cooperative of Kabayan;  Mabuhay MPC of Kapangan, Poblacion-Ili Water users Association of Kibungan; Cabiten Agrarian Neighborhood MPC of Mankayan; El Dorado MPC of Tuba; and Togoy Farmers MPC of Tublay.

            Eight ARBOs meanwhile were provided with power Tillers amounting to P455,000. These are the Alibacong Rural Improvement Club of Bakun, Karo Tribe MPC of Bokod, Nortehern Buguias MPC, Bagueg Farmers Association and Balococ Cashet Tabu-Langag MPC of Itogon, Datakan MPC, Kapangan Central Savings Credit and Cooperative, and Linosod Farmers MPC of La Trinidad.

            The Tublay Organic Farming Practitioners Association was provided with a Greenhouse worth P340,000.
