DAR CAPIZ DELIVERY OF COMMON SERVICE FACILITIES GRANT

Three agrarian reform beneficiary organizations (ARBOs) received Php 2,450,000 worth of farm implements from the Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) Capiz, in a series of deliveries held last December 17, 18 and 27, 2019.

A total of 14 farm implements distributed such as 1 unit rice floating tiller with engine, 2 units rice reaper, 1 unit rice shower, 1 unit single-pass travelling rice mill, 1 unit hydraulic rotavator, 3 units hand tractor with trailer, 2 units of motorized weeder, 1 unit water pump with engine sets, and 2 units of biomass shedder through the Climate Resilient Farm Productivity Support Project (CRFPS) of DAR.

Recipients were Pasol-o Multi-Purpose Cooperative, Capagao Small Coconut Farmers Association, and Lantangan Small Farmers Multi-Purpose. The CSFs were delivered in good condition and were acknowledged by the recipient ARBOs which were rice producing organizations. 

The beneficiaries were DAR assisted cooperatives and association and the purpose of the project is to enhance their products more sustainably.

As part of the preliminary activities, the ARBOs signed a Trust Agreement with DAR to sustain and increase their farm productivity in aid of the awarded CSFs in a period of 6 months.

DAR, as the lead implementing agency of the Comprehensive Agrarian Reform Program (CARP) will continue to monitor the ARBOs. As part of the monitoring activities, the cooperatives and association must have a separate bank account for the management of cash and the maintenance of the farm machinery. A DAR representative also becomes a countersign to control cash transactions of the ARBOs.
