Del Gallego is the last town in the northern part of Camarines Sur. This is where the Quirino Highway road meets with the first town of Quezon province which is Tagkawayan. Passing along this silent town, idle lands with green pastures create a panoramic view.

No date was known as to the establishment of the municipality of Ragay although it was recorded that the town was then a visita of Lupi on April 15, 1953.
It was believed that Ragay was also a witness to the ravings of the Moros who would make sudden attacks on most parts of Camarines Sur and Albay. This constant scenario in the lives of the residents of Ragay prompt them to transfer the town to the upper part of the Ragay River which is Kaburihan, now called Sta. Cruz. Kaburihan was later named as Hagay which means "separate and selected". An unusual incident paved the way for the old name to be altered into what is now known as "Ragay". This incident took place when a soldier mistakenly heard the word "Hagay" to be "Ragay" upon inquiring with a native lady the name of the place.
Now, the municipality of Ragay in the first district is among the third class municipalities of Camarines Sur. It still is moving on rapidly, making improvements and development. This town is well on its way towards progress especially with the opening of the Quirino Highway.

Municipality of Lupi
Lupi, in the first district of the province, was branded as a "travelling poblacion" as it had been transferred several times when it was just a sitio during the Spanish times. In October 17, 1726, however, the Spanish government under the administration of Governor General Marquez de Torrecampo who was also the titular head of the Diocese of Caceres, issued a decree making Lupi a separate town.

Municipality of Sipocot
Long before it became a town in the year 1801, Sipocot originally belonged to the town of Lupi , being one of its barrios. Its conversion into a town also paved the way for the establishment of its parish in dedication of St. John the Baptist, the town's patron saint. This marked the beginning of the celebration of the town fiesta held annually every June 24.
A version known to the local residents concerning the roots of the name of the municipality tells about the coming of the Spaniards to the Philippines, where a certain Captain Aguire of Lupi spent his leisure hours fishing in the cool water of Vigaan River in the morning and in the afternoon he would sail back by banca in the Bicol River. He usually have a plentiful catch which would be more his family needs. This activity did not escape the Spanish encomienderos' ears in the town of lupi and the said Captain was summoned by the Spaniards for questioning. However, in the process of the inquiry, the Captain misunderstood and misinformed the foreigners and pointed to the Bicol River as his fishing area. The following day, the Spaniards and some native guides equipped with hook and lines went to the river to fish.
Upon reaching the bank they found a shed with Captain Aguirre's fishing net or "pocot". They also found in the place different kinds of fishes like bakla, kasili, and buyod. Delighted with their discovery, the Spaniards asked some natives the name of the place. The natives thinking that the Spaniards were asking for the name of the net they were holding, answered "si,pocot". From then on, the Spaniards build a settlement near the Vigaan River which they christened SIPOCOT.

Municipality of Cabusao
Fishing still remains as the major industry in the Cabusao town in the first district of the province. There are attempts, however, to improve the rice production which can only be done if the farmlands can be improved despite the salty soil.
In Barangay San Pedro in this municipality, the Bicol sanitarium can be found where leprous patients are treated and taken care of.

Municipality of Libmanan
Records from a historian revealed that the municipality was named Libmanan on September 15, 1574, however, missionary works started in 1589 wherein which the church was dedicated to St. James the Apostle. Several stories lead to the origin of the town's name. one was that "ligmanan" meaning a place surrounded with waterways. Another was Libangan since visitors forgot their former homes because they were said to be "na libang". The other version was associated to the condition during years of moro raids where the place was called "Linabanan", a battle ground. The name Libmanan came from a common consensus tracing it to a mere in the manner of speech.
Even during the time of the Spaniards, the town of Libmanan is already considered as the "rice basket" of the province. This superfluous production of rice is attributed to the fertile soil and the town's abundant water supply.

Municipality of Pamplona
The beginnings of this town can be traced back from the date it was made a visita of Milaor which is now another town in the first district of province. Historical references concluded that most Spaniards inhabited the place who still came from the province of Pamplona in Spain and thus decided to name their settlement also as "Pamplona".
Pamplona finally became a parish on May 8, 1885 which was also the town's celebration of their town fiesta honoring their patron saint, St. Michael Archangel.

Municipality of Pasacao
The town of Pasacao has been a living witness to the progress and travails of the province of Camarines Sur.
Considered as a sleepy visita, this town was however, the only passage leading to Manila . It was only during the arrival of the Spaniards when its importance as an existing visita was noted.
Pasacao can well be remembered for its contribution in the province especially during those critical Spanish times. Its strategic location made it very accessible to other places while providing economic and social benefits to its settlers.
It has grown into a vast-expanding community as evidenced by the establishments of several edifices like a coconut oil factory, fishery school, and oil warehouse.
During the Spanish Colonization in the 16th Century, Pasacao, is the only existing port in Camarines Sur and the only transportation link to Manila. Pasacao played a vita role in the improvement of trade and commerce.
There is no exact date either by the Spanish or Phil-American government that created the municipality of Pasacao. Church's records however showed that the first Roman Catholic church was founded in 1886
Noted, too, are the town's fine beaches with spectacular view of the sunset which can rival other local and foreign beach resorts.

Municipality of San Fernando
Ambos Camarines, the old Camarines Sur, included among its "visitas" or barrios the town of San Fernando . The town, however, also remained as a "barrio" of Milaor for more than 230 years.
It was just on the first day of January in the year 1813 when Pueblo de San Fernando separated from Milaor and established its own name as a pueblo.
The residents of this old settlement were noted for their religiosity as manifested by their honor and dedication to San Fernando, the town's patron saint. This patron of San Fernando , according to historical records, was however not the original patron saint for whom the first settlers built the chapel. They actually built a chapel in honor of their beloved patron saint San Fernando . However, for some unusual reasons, the image was lost after it had been transferred into the newly-erected chapel. It was said that efforts were wielded to find the missing icon but it all ended into great frustration as the lost image of San Fernando was not found. One resident from the old site where the image was housed later informed the people of San Fernando that the image returned to its original location. With this incident, the Teniente del Barrio then decided to install the image of another saint, Saint John the Baptist. Their celebration of the town's fiesta is every 24th of June.
