Php9.5-M worth of CSF were turned over as DAR-Caraga celebrates CARP 27th year

zamboangatimesBUTUAN CITY — The Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) Caraga celebrated part of its 27th Comprehensive Agrarian Reform Program year with the distribution of common service facilities(CSC) worth Php 9.5 million to its agrarian reform beneficiary organizations here in the region on Tuesday afternoon.

The activity held at the Main Atrium of Robinson’s Place Butuan was spearheaded by the Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) Caraga headed by the newly-installed Regional Director Julita A. Ragandang, Assistant Regional Director Daylind P. Narisma, the Provincial Agrarian Reform Officers (PARO), DAR-Caraga staff and personnel and the Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries coning from the regions five provinces.

Also in attendance were Department of Agriculture-Caraga Regional Director Edna Mabeza, Landbank of the Philippines Butuan Manager Jimmy Arco, Philippine Information Agency -13 Operations Officer Ms. Nora Molde and officials from the other line agencies.

The common service facilities turned over to the agrarian reform beneficiaries (ARBs) through the Agrarian Reform Community Connectivity and Economic Services (ARCCESS) includes: a four wheel drive tractor, 90HP with mounted disc plow, trailing disc plow and three tons trailer to Remedios Farmers Multi-Purpose Cooperative (REFAMCO), Esperanza, Agusan del Sur, worth Php2,988,000.00;

Another similar tractor unit to Los Arcos Multipurpose Cooperative (LAMPCO), Prosperidad, Agusan del Sur; 2 units of rice threshers to Palmavera Small Coconut Farmers Beneficiaries Cooperative (PASCORBEC), Las Nieves, Agusan del Norte and also 2 similar units of thresher each to Avancena Beneficiaries, Cabadbaran, Agusan del Norte; KAMMPE, Sta. Josefa, Agusan del Sur and Tubod Farmers Multi-purpose Cooperative (TUFAMULCO) of Tubod, Surigao del Norte.

Three units of rice threshers was turned over to Himamaug Agra-Credit Organization (HIMACO), Taganaan, Surigao del Norte, worth P492, 894.00; similar units of rice threshers to Bayan Free Farmers Multi-purpose Cooperative (BAFFMPC), Marihatag, Surigao del Sur; and Luna Agra Manufacturing Producers Cooperative, Cagdianao, Dinagat Island.

Three units of power tiller cultivators were also turned over to HIMACO, Taganaan, Surigao del Norte worth P360,000.00; 2 Reapers to Esperanza Farmers Credit of Del Carmen, Surigao del Norte worth P240,000.00 and a power tiller cultivator to Budling Rural Workers Association (BRWA) of Alegria, Surigao del Norte worth P120,000.00.

A total of 25 common service facilities were turned over to the said ARB organizations amounting to P9,489,066.00.

ARCCESS is a project implemented by DAR to help improve the productivity and income of the ARBs through their organizations. The project specifically seek to strengthen the business units of the said ARBs organizations, so that they can eventually manage business assets or activities related to farm production, post-harvest marketing and processing.
