“The program will likewise address the credit needs of existing farmer-beneficiaries who are not yet accessing production loans from formal credit markets,” Ycoy said.

She said through the APCP, ARBOs and its farmer-members can avail of credit assistance to finance their farm inputs in growing crops, purchase tools and farm machines, and get working capital for their agri-enterprises and livelihood projects.

Through a review and assessment workshop, the Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) evaluated ARBOs and its farmer-beneficiary members’ capacity to apply for loan to the LBP. It also carried out the documentation and processing of the ARBOs’ required loan documents.

“The workshop gathered the factual data on the status and capacity of the ARBOs to make them competent credit conduit,” added Ycoy.news reg pix 2 july 29 2016
