DAR AgNor conducts financial management course

piaBUTUAN CITY, Oct. 11 (PIA) -- The Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) in Agusan del Norte conducted nine rounds of seminars on financial management to nine Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries Organizations (ARBOs) from different municipalities in Agusan del Norte.

More than 300 participants consisted of several officers, coop management and operational staff and some members, actively participated and gained with practical knowledge on managing their organizations’ financial activities. DAR Point Person Luningning Buque-Ycoy said that the resource speakers were from training partner institutions accredited by the Cooperative Development Authority (CDA).

“The seminar aimed to enhance participants’ understanding of the tool on financial analysis in order to create their own systematic financial plan, both short term and long term usage and to determine the status of their operation to come-up decision making,” Ycoy said.

“These series of workshops on basic financial management are in preparation of different social delivery services from DAR that will contribute to the growth of farmer-beneficiaries through their organizations in the province,” added Ycoy.

San Antonio Integrated Farmers Multi-Purpose Cooperative (SAIFMULCO) Manager Bienvenido Osa was grateful for the continued efforts of the department. He believed the financial management training initiated by DAR has great benefits to their organization.

Bookkeeper Perlita Madaje of Rosario Samahang Nayon Multi-Purpose Cooperative (RSNMPC) said “as a Bookkeeper, the training contributed basic knowledge in handling our financial operation.”
