Success Story: A Man of Love and Dignity

Mr. Benjamin Odtojan Sentorias, fondly called as “Ben” was destined as a leader advocating for the farmers welfare.
At the age of 29, he was already elected as Barangay Captain in 1963 to 1968 and also elected for two terms as Municipal Councilor in 1969 to 1973 and in 1978 to 1981 respectively. His unselfish service to the people has been very visible to Surigaonons that made him a Sanguniang Panlalawigan member in 1981 to 1983 under the leadership of the late Hon. Governor Jose C. Serving.
Also, being a council chairman of the UCCP since 1975 up to the present, he enjoyed serving his people as member of the Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries Association (ARBA) in 1987 to 1988. His membership to ARBA was instrumental to being elected as member of the Provincial Agrarian Reform Coordinating Committee (PARCCOM) of DAR Surigao del Norte in 1989
representing the Cooperative Sector of the Province.
In 1992 until 1995 he served as the Vice Mayor of the Municipality of Alegria, Surigao del Norte. His continued service to the farmers was further pushed, thus he was appointed as OIC PARCCOM Chairman in 1997 to 2003. From then he was appointed as a full pledged PARCCOM Chairman in 2003 up to the present as cited by Director and CPCMS PARC Secretariat Atanacia M.  Guevarra in her Memorandum to DARPO Surigao del Norte dated December 20, 2012.

Ben is a person of service to the people and is worthy to emulate in terms of Public Service.
