SURIGAO CITY, Apr. 7 (PIA) - The Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) Surigao del Norte Provincial Office recognized recently two women Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries (ARBs) who were hailed as 2014 Regional Outstanding Women ARBs.
The awardees were Lilibeth Salem Arce, chairperson of the Trinidad Farmers Multi-Purpose Cooperative in Brgy. Trinidad, Surigao City and Remedios Seda Dequito, treasurer of Honrado Farmers Credit Cooperative in Brgy, Honrado, San Francisco, Surigao del Norte.
The two ARB awardees were cited for their exemplary contributions in making the Comprehensive Agrarian Reform Program (CARP) works at its best by making their farm productive through the knowledge they acquired from training, new technologies and approaches in farming and sharing it to other farmers to adopt the same technologies to improve their income.
The Trinidad Farmers Multi-Purpose Cooperative in Brgy, Trinidad and Honrado Farmers Credit Cooperative in Brgy. Honrado, San Francisco are part of the cooperative organizations assisted by DAR.
DAR Caraga regional director Faisar A. Mambuay personally handed-over the plaque of recognition to the recipients assisted by Provincial Agrarian Reform Program Officer (PARPO) II Jamil P. Amatonding, Jr., PARPO-I Jose T. Sebucao and DAR-SDN Program Beneficiaries Development Division chief Ma.
