foodevolutionphThe Department of Agrarian Reform has signed a memorandum of understanding with the Catholic Relief Service and the Philippine Business for Social Progress (PBSP) to improve the farmers’ market linkages with small, medium and large companies.

PBSP Livelihood and Enterprise Development Program Director Caroline Pedrosa said the LinkSFarM project is strengthened through trainings that help farmers access the market.

PBSP Executive Director Rafael Lopa said the initial effort among DAR, CRS and PBSP enabled Luisita farmers to become potential suppliers for NutriAsia.

Agrarian Reform Secretary Virgilio delos Reyes said the project will sustain the farmers’ livelihood by developing their business skills.
