DAR Negros Occidental distributes CLOA, Install 63 ARBs

The Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) in Negros Occidental 1-North, through the Comprehensive Agrarian Reform Program (CARP) has distributed certificates of land ownership award (CLOAs) and installed 63 farmer-beneficiaries in Cadiz City. 

 

The distribution of CLOAs involving the 57.8874-hectare lot previously owned by Honey Lopez  Panganiban situated in Barangay Jerusalem took place last February 7, while the actual installation of the 63 agrarian reform beneficiaries was held on February 13 in the said landholding. 

 

Municipal Agrarian Reform Program Officer Antonida T. Yulo reiterated the farmers’ rights and obligations as the new landowners during the ceremonial distribution of CLOAs. 

 

Barangay Kagawad Ariel De Erit, on the other hand, appealed to all the farmers to live in harmony with each other without envy or strife. He said that they should make the awarded lands productive for the betterment of themselves and their families. 

 

Aside the farmer-beneficiaries, the distribution and installation rites were also attended by barangay officials and personnel of the DAR municipal office in Cadiz City.
