Provincial Agrarian Reform Officer (PARO) Isaganie. Yee said the distributed landholdings, previously owned by V.A. Cabahug Agro Industrial Development Corporation, was acquired through the voluntary offer to sell (VOS) of the Comprehensive Agrarian Reform Program (CARP).

“Landowners offering their properties to CARP for distribution to the farmers is an indication that they recognize the role of the government’s land reform program in improving the lives of the people in the countryside,” Yee said.

Yee also reminded the beneficiaries of their rights and obligations to pay real estate taxes as well as their annual amortization encouraging them to make their newly-acquired land productive and uplift their lives.

“I urge you to strengthen your (ARBs) organization, as well, because it will serve as your primary vehicle in building up your dar web news pix 2 july 28 2013 400social capital, your asset in winning government assistance and private investors’ confidence to do business with you, Yee said.

The provision of support services in the form of basic rural infrastructures, credit assistance and livelihood trainings, among others, is one of the major components of the Comprehensive Agrarian Reform Program (CARP), under the Agrarian Reform Community Connectivity and Economic Support Services (ARCCESS), a comprehensive alternative development approach that directly deals farmers’ organizations.

ARB Donald Pacaña in behalf of the farmer beneficiaries expressed his gratitude to the government through DAR for helping them realize their dream of owning land to cultivate.
