news national pix 1 dec. 14 2015Farmer-beneficiaries can now expect the influx of agrarian support services following the recent launching of the Batang Bagras special Agrarian Reform Community (ARC) in Palimbang town.

Provincial Agrarian Reform Program Officer Rodolfo Alburo said “as the government pours in support services for the farmers, they will also grow in skills and the community will progress.”

“Greater impact can be achieved with regard to development if the resources of the government are concentrated on an area where majority of the residents are ARBs,” said Alburo.

Alburo said Batang Bagras is a special ARC because of the nature of the farmer-beneficiaries living in the area.

“Declaring the whole barangay as a special ARC will avert the influence of any misguided armed groups to our farmer-beneficiaries and to the community,” Alburo said.

Batang Bagras Punong Barangay Samsudin Talipol said “now that we are an ARC, we expect the government to extend whatever assistance that would help improve the living condition in our community.”

Batang Bagras was declared special ARC by the National Agrarian Reform Communities Task Force (NARCTF), making it the 17th ARC in Sultan Kudarat and the second ARC in Palimbang town.
