Regional Director Atty. Marjorie P. Ayson said the Malastco is a DAR-assisted cooperative which has received various projects and interventions from the agency.

Ayson said the facilities include 60-sq. meter warehouse, a 48-sq. meter office and a 450–sq. meter solar dryer, all worth P5,909,846.00.

“We know that constructing these facilities is important for our small farmers. When food losses are minimized, there is both food security and increase in income,” she added.

Provincial Agrarian Reform Program Officer II Virgillio Acasili encourages the beneficiaries to help maintain the turned-over facilities.
