DAR distributes land titles to Asturias farmers in Cebu

news national 1 pix 1 nov. 8 2016The Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) recently distributed 23.0693 hectares of agricultural lands under the Comprehensive Agrarian Reform Program (CARP) to the 23 agrarian reform beneficiaries (ARBs) in Tubigagmanok, San Isidro, and Baye, Asturias, Cebu.

Regional Director Alejandro Otacan said the new landowners are now full-fledge members of Bag-ong Kusog Sa Mag-uuma (BAKUMA), an Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries Organization assisted by the DAR.

Otacan congratulates the farmer beneficiaries and hopes that the farmers will make the awarded land more productive, more so that they are now the landowners after receiving their Certificates of Land Ownership Award (CLOAs).
Municipal Agrarian Reform Program Officer (MARPO) Gersyval Vestal  led the distribution of CLOAs to 23 Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries (ARBs) in Asturias town held at Bag-ong Kusog Sa Mag-uuma (BAKUMA) Training Center located at barangay Bago, Asturias, Cebu.
