In the workshop, participants composed of agrarian reform beneficiary (ARBs) cooperative officials discussed the updates, status, issues and concerns of their respective AVA contracts with AVA point persons, PARC Secretariat, DAR support services office and DAR Municipal Agrarian Reform Officers.
“After hearing their problems with their AVAs, we are now brainstorming on the challenges to come up with proposed recommendations and suggested solutions to each of their problems,” said Presidential Agrarian Reform Council (PARC) Secretariat Director James Arsenio Ponce.

Ponce said the PARC Secretariat organized this two-day consultation and workshop to help ARBs become well informed in AVA laws and regulations and to guide them in making sound decisions concerning their AVA with their investors.

The consultation cum workshop is being held in Dapitan City from Oct. 11-12, 2017.
