QUEZON CITY (Feb. 13, 2018)— Agrarian Reform Secretary John R. Castriciones ordered his officials to increase the delivery of services to farmers to uplift their economic lives at the on-going summative assessment and planning conference of the department.
“This year, our primary goal would be to advance our performance in delivering support services to better serve our farmers,” said Castriciones.
He also urged his officials to take steps in making every farmer love the land they till. “In distributing parcels of lands to farmers, it is also our duty to make them appreciate the land. Our farmers and their children should love farming or else, we might one day find ourselves with not enough supply of food for the country.”
“The future of our agricultural economy is in the hands of our farmers,” he added.
The DAR is currently conducting a four-day assessment and planning orientation for calendar year 2018.
