Zero pending ALI cases for DAR-Cordillera

news national 2 pix 1 july 29 2018The Department of Agrarian Reform in the Cordillera (DAR-CAR) region proudly reported that as of Dec. 31, 2017, they have zero agrarian law implementation (ALI) cases pending in their dockets.

DAR Regional Director Virgilio Acuna reported this during the department’s 2018 mid-year performance review and planning in Tagaytay City.

According to Acuna, from January to June 2018 the DAR-CAR’s regional and provincial legal divisions have resolved 957 ALI cases. 

At the provincial level, a total of 565 cases were resolved.  Of this total resolved cases, Abra registered 88 resolved cases, Apayao with 28; Benguet has 176; Ifugao resolved 93;  Kalinga resolved 96 and Mt. Province with 84 cases.  

“At present, there are no pending cases for the whole region,” Acuna proudly said.

“As directed by Secretary John Castriciones, we have stepped-up our game in delivering free legal services to our farmers. We will continue doing this to serve more agrarian reform beneficiaries,” Acuna said. 

The DAR’s performance review and planning session is was conducted to resolve and address problems in implementing agrarian reform for the year.
