DAR Regional Director Luis B. Bueno Jr. said "The DAR, through the Agrarian Reform Community Connectivity Economic Support Services (ARCCESS) program and the Agrarian Reform Communities Projects II (ARCP II), will carry-out various activities to strengthen the agrarian reform beneficiary organizations (ARBOs) and help them engage in the production and supply of food items for the day care centers."

The said Team will apply the Philippine-Brazilian hunger mitigation and rural development strategies in these areas, and will ascertain if the success of Brazil’s Zero Hunger program can also be adapted here to empower local farmers and nourish families.

After Bicol, next pilot testing areas for the PAHP implementation are Region 8 and certain areas of ARMM. These regions were selected due to their high rates of malnutrition and poverty.

"We will assist the ARBOs in accessing credit through the Agrarian Production Credit Program (APCP) for the production of agricultural commodities needed for the food hub." said Bueno Jr.
