The Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) in Agusan Sur recently assisted Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries Organizations (ARBOs) to participate and promote their agricultural products in the Mindanao Trade Expo 2014 at the Abreeza Mall, Davao City.
The Trade Expo, which runs from, showcases the unique products and distinct garment designs of Mindanao.
The participating ARBOs include Magkiangkang Multi- Purpose Cooperative of Bayugan City (MAMPC) marketing their famous cocoa products (tableya) , Sta. Maria Beneficiaries Multi-purpose Cooperative (STAMARBEMCO) of Sta. Maria, Prosperidad promoting their colorful Kaong (Sugar Palm fruits products) and Kaagap Multi- Purpose Cooperative (KAAGAPMUCO) in Hubang, San Francisco, Agusan Sur exhibiting their Coir Twines (products made of coconut husks), Coco net, Coco Virgin Oil, Coco Syrup and other coconut by-products.
Program Beneficiaries Development Division (PBDD) Chief Fe Mosquera said the Trade Expo aims to inform the public about the activities of the department and to promote the products of farmer-beneficiaries, as well as market their products not only in the country but also internationally.
The said activity is participated by farmers, businessmen, and entrepreneurs from Luzon and Visayas.
