75 farmers get CLOA

visayan dailySeventy-five farmers received their Certificate of Land Ownership Award recently for 91 hectares of land in Barangay Tiglawigan, Cadiz City. from the Department of Agrarian Reform-Negros Occidental 1.

The farmers are now the owners of the vast sugarcane fields, with the CLOA awarding led by DAR-Neg. Occ. 1 head Teresita Mabunay at the landholding previously owned by Renato Fermin on Sept. 29.


“Now that they are the new landowners, the department will continue to help them as part of the Comprehensive Agrarian Reform Program implementation,” Mabunay said.

She said the assistance to be provided by DAR will be to help the farmers to effectively manage their economic and social development.*KBC
