dar logoThe Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) Central Office continues its initiatives to further improve its services to agrarian reform beneficiaries and other stakeholders even as it received its ISO 9001:2008 Certification this year.

In view of the change of administration, an orientation to the top management on DAR’s ISO was held last July 7, 2016 at the OSEC Boardroom. During the meeting, the top management designated Undersecretary Rosalina L. Bistoyong of the Support Services Office (SSO) as the new Quality Management Representative (QMR) Chairperson.

As the new QMR, USec. Bistoyong is now the lead implementer of the Quality Management System (QMS) and assumes roles and responsibilities as its Chair. She ensures the Department’s adherence to the principles of Quality Management and the continuing sustainability, adequacy, and effectiveness of DAR’s QMS.

USec Bistoyong has directed the Agrarian Reform Capacity Development Service (ARCDS) to conduct an orientation to all security personnel of the Central Office to raise their ISO awareness. Said orientation will be held on July 21, 2016 at the HRD Center.

The designation of a new QMR Chair is in preparation with the upcoming surveillance audit on July 26, 2016. Surveillance audits are geared at verifying whether an organization’s quality system works in everyday operations and whether it is being maintained, improved and corrected, as needed.
