The Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) in Region 1 conducted a Regional Legal Services Assessment and Planning Workshop to enhance the knowledge and skills of its Legal Division personnel in the regional and provincial offices.
Regional Director Homer Tobias said that “this assessment and planning workshop will ensure a 100 percent cleansing of our Legal Case Monitoring System (LCMS) database and help fast-track the legal cases on queue.”
Resource Speakers who came from the DAR Central Office also acted as facilitators in the presentation, evaluation and assessment of LCMS generated accomplishment reports.
Issues concerning Transfer Action and other Agrarian Law Implementation (ALI) cases were discussed thoroughly with Tobias acting as the facilitator.
“The templates for all types of cases cascaded by the DARCO were presented and subjected to comments and inputs by the participants. Measures to solve these issues and concerns were also firmed up,” said Tobias. The DARCO Team commended the DAR Region 1 Legal Services for doing well when it comes to LCMS compliance. It ended being the second best nationwide.
The Regional Legal Services Assessment and Planning Workshop were conducted last September 9-11, 2014 at Citylight Hotel, Baguio City. (Noemi Biligan, Legal Service Division, DARRO I)
