30 ARBOs leaders go hi-tech in Pangasinan

news reg 1 pix 1 oct. 25 2016The Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) in Pangasinan recently conducted a Computer Literacy Training for the thirty (30) Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries Organization (ARBO) leaders to go with the trend of submitting  reports online.

Provincial Agrarian Reform Officer II Maria Ana B. Francisco said the DAR engaged the services of the Urdaneta City University (UCU) and the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) to train the ARBO leaders on the proper filing of the BIR reports and its  requirements and how to submit such through online.

Francisco said a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with the UCU will allow the participants to use their computer laboratory rooms including the use of its computers and assisted by one student-teacher for every participant.

She said the issue on online submission of reports to BIR and CDA  were raised by the ARBOs  because of their little knowledge on computer handling and  internet operations.

“As a result, ARBO leaders were forced to hire the services of knowledgeable people to do the online submission at a cost. If they will not do this, their submission will be delayed and additional fees will be charged for late submission,” Francisco said.

The participants were trained Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel and Online Submission.

During the closing ceremonies, Emelda Zamora of Bantog Samahang Nayon MPC in Asingan  said “salamat sa DAR at sa UCU sa binigay na training sa amin kasi napakalaking tulong para sa aming kooperatiba na hindi na kami magbabayad ng mga may alam sa online submission ng mga reports.”
