The newly constructed Bolikewkew Bridge at Burgos, La Union was finally turned over to the Barangay Captains of Upper Tumapoc and Delles on May 22, 2014.
The whole stretch of the completed 183.5 meters bridge was momentarily occupied by residents of the two barangays who came to witness the unveiling, cutting of the ribbon and inauguration of the Bridge. Present during the unveiling were Dir. Rodolfo S. Pangilinan (DAR), Engr. Leopoldo Mendoza (DPWH, 2nd Engineering District LU), Mr. Y. Kawahara (Head, consultant for ARISP III), Engr. Mel Lamboon (Central Project Management Office), Cong. Eufranio Eriguel (2nd Dist. LU), Cong. Francisco Ortega III (Abono), Atty. Raul C. Laluan (PARO La Union), Mayor Jose Abansi (Burgos) and Mayor Ferdinand Tumbaga (Bagulin).
Bolikewkew bridge serves as the link and boundary of Upper Tumapoc and Delles; serves as main thoroughfare for 2,558 residents of the two barangays including Linuan benefitting 255 Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries (ARBs) in the area.
The project which was implemented under the Agrarian Reform Infrastructure Support Project (ARISP) III was started in March 11, 2013 and completed ahead of schedule. Nemia-darlu
