170 farmers complete agrarian reform training

Sunday PunchLingayen –Some 170 farmer-agrarian beneficiaries recently completed the Agrarian Reform Community Connectivity and Economic Support Services (ARCCESS) project held in Binalonan on August 11.

The ARCCESS is a project of the Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) in collaboration with the provincial government to strengthen the Agrarian Reform Beneficiary (ARB) Organizations in order building support service in the community.

Gov. Amado T. Espino said training will benefit the course graduates because Pangasinan will remain as an agricultural province for a long time.

The project has five components, namely, common service facilities for production and processing, agri-technology and agri-extension services, business development services, credit facilitation and land tenure improvement. These five project components, according to the governor will help the farmer graduates to enhance their production.

DAR Regional Director Homer Tobias expressed confidence that the graduates can put into practice all technical know-hows taught them. (PI0/EJS)
