170 farmers finish agrarian reform training for higher income

piaLINGAYEN, Pangasinan, Aug 24 (PIA) – Some 170 Pangasinan farmers completed the agrarian reform community connectivity and economic support services (ARCCESS) project of the Department of Agrarian Reform.

The Provincial Information Office (PIO) said the ARCCESS is a joint project between DAR and the provincial government which seeks to strengthen the Agrarian Reform Beneficiary (ARB) Organizations by building support service in the community.

The farmers, in turn, are expected to contribute to the increase of household income.

DAR Regional Director Homer Tobias said the project runs on five major components which include provision on common service facilities for production and processing, agri-technology and agri-extension services, business development services, credit facilitation and land tenure improvement.

“It is important that the farmers will be able to absorb and put into practice all technical know-hows that were lectured in the training,” Tobias said in the PIO release.(MCA.VHS/PIA-Pangasinan)
