The Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) has recently joined with Cagayan State University (CSU) “People’s Caravan: Operation Blessing Tuwid na Daan Tungo sa Kanayunan” in partnership with different national government agencies.
Provincial Agrarian Reform Program Officer II Virgilio M. Acasili said the People’s Caravan serves as a platform for convergence of various services offered by the national government through its different agencies, and to bring all these directly at the doorsteps of the beneficiaries.
He expressed his support to the project by informing the people of the accomplishments and projects of the agency.
People’s Caravan started last June 19, 2015 at Sta. Ana, Cagayan and will last up to December 11, 2015 to cover all municipalities of Cagayan.
CSU formulated the project as an integrated approach to rural growth and development through collaborative efforts of all stake holders and partners.
It aims to educate and inform the public of the different basic services and programs as per its mandate and current activities which it intends to extend to the community.
“The project is a great opportunity for us in the government service to promote our respective programs and services, more so to address the needs of the public through development interventions in the rural areas not only in ARCs but to the non-ARC communities as well.” Acasili added.
