Orientation on tractor operation

WEB R2 DSC 1262 1The Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) recently conducted an orientation on tractor operation to farmer-members of Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries Organizarions (ARBOs) in Isabela.

“This orientation aims to teach farmers on the proper use of the tractors and other mechanized farm equipment that they will receive from DAR,” said Loreta S. Gaspar, Section Chief, Technical Advisory and Support Services of DAR-Isabela.

The farmers were trained on pre-start checks, actual operation and basic maintenance of the equipment. “They were also taught health and safety measures in operating the farm machines,” said Gaspar.

The said training was facilitated by Nickson Encabo and Jovito Lazaro, both service mechanics from the farm equipment distributor, Equity Machineries Incorporated.

Participants of the orientation were the Chairperson, Board of Directors and members of each of the recipient ARBOs.

The recipient ARBOs expressed their heartfelt gratitude in advance and assured that they would comply with the needs of the farm equipments and that they would maximize its profitability and productivity.

“We are looking forward to your organizations’ growth through these farm equipments that will be provided to you by DAR. Handle these facilities properly. Also comply with the maintenance and storage measures to preserve the machineries. The purpose of these farm machines is to increase your organizations’ income and strengthen your financial stability,” said Gaspar. (Charmaine Cae G. Bartolome)
