Nueva Vizcaya villagers benefit from DAR’s FMR project

piaDUPAX DEL SUR, Nueva Vizcaya (PIA)  – Close to 2,000 villagers of Dupax del Sur town are now benefiting from the P17.8 million Farm-to-Market Road projects of the Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR).

Primo Lara, provincial agrarian reform program officer, said the FMR projects, such as the improvement of P3.75 million Mangayang road with a length of 695.31 meters and the Dalihan road project measuring 1,268.62 meters length worth PHP14 million.

The linking FMR projects, he added will increase farm productivity and improve trade and commerce of farmers’ harvests, improve the mobility of people and ease the transport of farm products of the Palabotan Agrarian Reform Community (PARC).

The infrastructure projects will also uplift  the agri-business, livelihood and domestic activities of over 1,847 residents of Brgys. Canabay, Carolotan, Palabotan & Mangayang in Dupax del Sur town, Lara said.

DAR implemented the projects under the Agrarian Reform Infrastructure Support Program (ARISP) Phase III, with the Japan International Corporation Agency (JICA) and the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH). (ALM/BME/PIA 2-Nueva Vizcaya)
