Regional Director Atty. Marjorie P. Ayson said the machines are intended for rice, corn and sugarcane production of ARBOs here. “With these farm machineries, farmers can now till their farms faster and more efficiently. These machines would also help farmers minimize their losses in production and increase their yield and income,” she said.

A 10-wheeler heavy tractor was awarded to the Pinoy Bagong Pag-asa Marketing Cooperative for the improvement of sugarcane productivity in Tuao, Cagayan.

One unit of shredder each was awarded to the Salamin Multi-Purpose Cooperative in Tuao, Cagayan and to the Maduvika Multi-Purpose Cooperative in Sta. Ana, Cagayan. Both ARBOs are involved mainly in rice production.

Ayson said the shredders would also be used by the ARBOs for their vermicomposting enterprise.news reg pix 2 jan. 29 2016

Acasili, Provincial Agrarian Reform Program Officer of Cagayan-Batanes, Dir. III for Support to Operations Jess Beth G. Quidasol and other DAR personnel.
