PARCCOM endorses 2017 budget proposal of DAR-2

ZZ WEB 20160413 REGL REG02 PINX PH1The Provincial Agrarian Reform Coordinating Committee (PARCCOM) officers in Region 2 have favorably approved and endorsed the 2017 budget proposal of the Department of Agrarian Reform Region 2 (DAR-2) to the Regional Development Council 2 (RDC 2) through a resolution on Tuesday, April 5, 2016.

Regional Director Atty. Marjorie P. Ayson called for the meeting to present and discuss with the PARCCOM members the 2017 proposed budget.

“One of the main purposes of the meeting was to encourage the civic group to actively participate in the budget process and raise issues mostly encountered by them in their respective provinces,” Ayson said.

During the meeting, the PARCCOM members unanimously endorsed the approval of the 2017 budget proposal after a thorough review and discussion where they gave suggestions for the improvement on interventions and services of the DAR Region-2.

Ayson said the special meeting resulted in the signing of five separate resolutions by the PARCCOM.

The resolutions include the endorsement of PARCCOM to RDC 2 for the retention of DAR in the identification and implementation of the Bottom-up Budgeting projects, integration of the Barangay Agrarian Reform Council (BARC) in the proposed budget for capability development and enhancement program of the Department, spearheading of PARCCOM in the filing of cases for pre-mature, illegal and unauthorized conversion of agricultural lands and confirmation of appointment of the Chairperson of PARCCOM of the provinces in Region 2.

“These approved resolutions will greatly help in implementing infrastructure projects, various trainings and support services for our farmer beneficiaries,” Ayson said. (Danielicah S. Cruz)
