DAR 02’s new employees undergo ALAB seminar

news reg pix 1 may 6 2016Thirty two new entrants of the Department of Agrarian Reform in Cagayan (DAR-02) recently underwent a three-day civil servants seminar called Alay sa Bayan (ALAB) to heighten their commitment in doing public service.

DAR Regional Director Atty. Marjorie P. Ayson said the ALAB seminar is a values-related program of the Civil Service Commission (CSC) that aims to develop and instill loyalty, love of country, sense of pride, belongingness and commitment to public service of government employees.

“ALAB is an initiation program for new entrants in the government. By instilling these moral values in them, the government hopes to minimize graft and corruption in the bureaucracy,” Ayson said.news reg pix 2 may 6 2016

As new public servants, the participants composed of Agrarian Reform Program Technologists (ARPTs) and Agrarian Reform Program Officers (ARPOs) were introduced to the duties and guiding principles in genuine public service.

The ALAB seminar guided the participants in their personal, familial and professional lives for three days. Most of them were thankful for the unique experience they had during the training.

“This is not just an ordinary training but an incredible experience for all of us. The trainers are amazing in helping us to open up little by little during the seminar,” said Malugonia Pilotin, an ARPT from the province of Isabela.

The three-day seminar was conducted on March 14-16, 2016 in Cordon, Isabela. (Danielicah S. Cruz)
