Albeit own damages in their own homes, the Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) employees reported to the office following the wrath of typhoon Lawin to clean the surroundings and their respective work areas.
The DAR Regional Compound, which houses both the Regional Office and Provincial Office of Cagayan-Batanes, was not spared from the wrath of Signal No. 5 Typhoon Lawin that recently pummeled Cagayan Valley.
DAR Compound roofs were blown away, window glasses were shattered, fences collapsed, trees were uprooted, and the files and computers were ruined.
At present, the Regional office and Provincial office are working hand-in-hand to rehabilitate the regional compound and restore office operations.
In the name of public service, DAR Regional Office and Provincial Office Cagayan-Batanes remain open to clients and stakeholders. (Delva Rose M. Ligwang)
