Construction of Katimbang Bridge and road project in Quirino province is in progress according to Support Services Division Chief Engr. Peter Barasi of DAR II.
Worth P139 million, this project is implemented in partnership with DPWH and the Provincial Local Government Unit of Quirino under the NG-LGU cost-sharing scheme.
The flooding in the province the previous weeks saw only minor disruptions in the on-going construction. Engr. Barasi assured the project stakeholders and the beneficiaries that Regional Director Marjorie Ayson-Alzateis keen on completing the project as planned.
The Katimbang Bridge is one of the Department’s priority ARISP (Agrarian Reform Infrastructure and Support Projects) sub-projects to help develop the Eastern Nagtipunan ARC in the province of Quirino.
The total length of the project is 570 meters consisting of 202 meters bridge, 10 meters Approach Slabs and 358 meters Road Approaches.
