AGLIPAY, Quirino, February 10 (PIA)—Around 317 households of barangays Progreso and Guinalbin here will now have safe drinking water with turn-over of the third package of Potable Water Supply project funded by the Agrarian Reform Infrastructure Project (ARISP) III of the Department of Agrarian Reform.
The project was formally turned over last month to the local government of Aglipay and the beneficiaries, the Progreso-Guinalbin or PROBIN Water Users’ Association (PROBIN-WUA) by the officials of DAR Quirino headed by Provincial Agraian Reform Officer Arthur Faeldon with the presence of Japanese Consultant Yukuhiro Kawahara.
The level II PROBIN PWS which was implemented by LGU Aglipay has a total cost of P3,758,748.00.
Mayor Jerry Agsalda thanked the DAR-ARISP for giving the said project to his town as he urged the beneficiaries to sustain the project for their own comfort and safety.
Earlier, the members of PROBIN WUA headed by Charles Ventura were given seminar on membership enhancement by the Department of Labor and Employment to prepare them in the operations and maintenance of the project.
Each household is required to pay P80 per month to cover the maintenance and operational expenses of the project. (TCB/PIA 2)
