ARB receives P30,000 accidental insurance

piaTUGUEGARAO CITY, Cagayan, June 10 (PIA)---An agrarian reform beneficiary (ARB) in Maddela, Quirino has received P30,000.00 Accidental and Dismemberment  Security Scheme (ADSS) insurance under the Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) Region 2.

Eduardo M. Rivera, who met a motorcycle accident on March 2014 which led to the amputation of his right leg, was automatically granted an insurance coverage under the ADSS.

Rivera was enrolled under the ARB Agrarian Insurance Program (AIP) last December for his crop insurance where under the terms and conditions of the Certificate of Coverage, such accident qualifies him for a 50% indemnification from the principal sum of his insurance.

The awarding was conducted during the birthday celebration of Governor Junie E. Cua on June 03, 2014.

During the event, other government agencies also launched their programs/projects to include the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) where they awarded Timbangan ng Bayan to 6 municipalities in  Quirino and the Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources which distributed 10 units of fishing boats to Maddela fisherfolk.
