DAR trains coops on audit modules

mstlogoABUCAY, Bataan—The Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) Bataan has conducted a three-day training for cooperatives here on audit management.

Senior Agrarian Reform Program Officer Norma Evangelista said 30 participants signed up for the training-workshop held last week at Villa Amanda, this town.

Provincial Agrarian Reform Officer Engr. Eric San Luis underscored the need “to see if the process involving a financial transaction is efficient, if not, institute corrective measure”.

Audit management is one of the 14 training packages required for cooperatives to undergo following the Cooperative Code of 2008 to obtain a Certificate of Good Standing.

According to Evangelista, this is the seventh in 10 modules lined up this year.

The Program Beneficiaries and Development Division of DAR Bataan headed by Chief Agrarian Reform Program Officer Neil Francis Pedralvez is in charge of the training program.

Assisting him are Agrarian Refor Officer 2 Liberty Malixi, Arpo 1 Cheryl Pedralvez along with Arpo 1 Erickson Reyes, Marietta Salas, Cristina Crizaldo, and Flordeliza Salang Clerk VI.

Evangelista said DAR Bataan is accredited by the Cooperative Development Authority to handle trainings for cooperatives.
