Farmers training on their roles and rights in Batangas

news reg 1 pix 1 Aug 1 2016The Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) recently conducted a Capacity Enhancement Training for members of agrarian reform beneficiaries organizations (ARBOs) in Batangas to strengthen and capacitate agrarian reform beneficiaries (ARBs) toward operating sustainable agri-enterprise. 

Provincial Agrarian Reform Program Officer II James Arsenio O. Ponce said the 155 farmers, of which 81 percent are ARBs, are from Brgy. Calubcub 1 and 2 in San Juan, Batangas were provided information on how to increase their level of awareness and understanding on their roles and rights as members of a cooperative.

He added that  farmers were educated on their rights in  availing  the  support services from the DAR and other related government agencies.news reg 1 pix 2 aug. 1 2016

The participants  were very appreciative to the DAR  for  the knowledge imparted to them especially on how they can join the ARBOs to speed up and facilitate the implementation of agrarian reform-related projects/businesses/services to its members.

Present during the training were Barangay Captain Victorio Espino and his barangay officials, SARPO Exur John Thomas Gozos, ARPO I Estrella Palo and ARPO I Agnes C. Lopez. (JC Maralit)
