piaANTIPOLO CITY, Rizal, Sept 5 (PIA) --Various agrarian reform beneficiary groups showcased their products at Robinsons Place Antipolo for the four-day 4th CARP Calabarzon Fair from August 31 to September 1.

Line government agencies such as the Department of Trade and Industry, Department of Agrarian Reform, Department of Science and Technology, Department of Labor and Employment, Department of Tourism, Cooperative Development Authority and local government units use the fair as a venue to highlight goods produced by ARB business groups in Calabarzon.

DTI Rizal Provincial Director Mercedes Parreno opened the program with gratitude for Calabarzon counterparts for choosing to hold the activity in Rizal Province.

Prior to the current fair, the other previous activities were held in Lipa City, Batangas.

Also present during the fair was DTI Calabarzon Regional Director Marilou Quinco-Toledo who emphasized the importance of mentoring small businesses noting shared services facilities provided by the agency to CARP cooperators in Rizal such as the salabat processing machinery provided to Tanay’s Sampaloc ARB Multi-Purpose Cooperative.

“We hope that in the future we do not only see your products displayed during trade fairs but everyday when we visit department stores” added RD Toledo referring to the directive of new DTI Secretary Ramon Lopez.

The fair also features a marketing seminar for more than 100 CARP cooperators regionwide this September 2 from 1PM onwards. (PIA-Rizal)
