DAR-Marinduque gears up for cooperative training

WEB R4B workshopFarmer-leaders and officers of agrarian reform beneficiaries organizations (ARBOs) in Marinduque underwent a two-day policy development training to enhance and strengthen the existing policies of ARBOs.

“Policy is vital in every organization. It serves as a guide and direction to avoid conflict, and it ensures that every policy is being reviewed and monitored to cope with the existing situation and needs of the members,” said Facilitator Andrea Olase of the Quezon Federation and Union of Cooperatives.

“The training module focuses on the enhancement of the existing policies of the organization, types and components of policy, stages of policy development, evaluation and review,” Olase added.

Lectures, discussions and workshops were employed that saw the participants actively sharing their inputs in every activity.

The two-day training on policy development is a required training course of the Cooperative Development Authority (CDA). It was conducted on August 11-12, 2015 at the Center for Agricultural Resources Management and Enterprise Networking (CARMEN), Brgy. Tamayo, Sta. Cruz. (Gefelyn A. Goleng)
