Mindoro farmers completes business development training

news reg pix 1 april 28 2016Eighty nine (89) farmers recently graduated from the Department Of Agrarian Reform  (DAR) Farm Business School in Occidental Mindoro.

Provincial Agrarian Reform Program Officer PARPO Luisito A. Jacinto said the project is  under the business development services (BDS) of agrarian reform community connectivity and economic support services (ARCCESS) in support to the agricultural extension services (AES) provided by the DAR.

“With this training, farmers will now be equipped with the proper skills on business from simple records-keeping to cost and return analysis including management of farm equipment, enabling the farmers to be ready to venture into a more profitable agri-enterprise”, Jacinto said.

Project Team Leader Professor Walfredo Rola said the modules include organizational development, financial management and marketing.

“Always remember all the experiences shared and the learnings gained. In about five years we might go back to inaugurate new equipment, new building as a result of  you successfully managing your own businesses”, Prof. Rola said as he challenged the graduates to sustain what they have  started.

Reynaldo Fallaria, Chairman of Tagumpay ng Curanta Free Farmers Cooperative (TACUFFC), one of the recipient organizations, recognized all the efforts and expressed his gratitude to the partner-institutions like the Foundation for Rural Enterprise and Ecology Development of Mindanao (FREEDOM) being the professional service provider of the project and the DAR for providing all the needed support and guidance to the farmers.news reg pix 2 april 28 2016
