DAR Receives Award Of Appreciation From AFP

june 8 2015 reg 5 1The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) recently cited the Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) for its contribution to the peace and development of Camarines Sur.june 8 2015 reg 5 2 

DAR Administrative Chief Engr. Rodel Martirez, who received the plaque of appreciation, is thankful to the AFP for recognizing the department’s work and efforts in addressing land distribution issues that contributed significant progress in the lives of people in impoverished communities and help promote peace and order in the countryside.

june 8 2015 reg 5 3“We at DAR are grateful that our hard work at solving land issues, especially in conflict-ridden areas are being appreciated and acknowledged. Being awarded like this will make us strive more and do more for our farmers,” Martirez said.

“We also want to thank the AFP, especially the 9th Infantry SPEAR Division, for always being there to keep the peace and order while the DAR is negotiating with landowners and farmers,” Martirez added. 

The awarding ceremonies were held on May 25, 2015 at the Capitol Complex, Cadlan, Pili Camarines Sur. (Carla Yu)
