NEW FARM MACHINE

WEB NATL R5 02 Amphi Tiller san antonioWEB NATL R5 01 amphi tiller 03Agrarian reform beneficiaries in San Antonio, Ocampo, Camarines Sur recently put to test the capability and toughness of the new amphi tiller provided by the Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) to Ayugan San Antonio Agrarian Reform Cooperative. The floating-type tiller is powered by a 10-horse power diesel engine. Tilling is done by the strong retovating or puddling action of its two cage wheels with eight radial blades. It can till up to two hectares in just one day. It could cut and shred tall weeds in just two to three passes. The amphi tiller is among the various farm equipment distributed to different farm cooperatives nationwide thru the DAR’s Agrarian Reform Communities Connectivity and Economic Support Services (ARCCESS) project. Other farm equipments provided to other farmer’s organizations include 120 HP and 90 HP heavy tractors with complete gears and tools, rice reapers, rice threshers, hand tractors, heavy duty trailers and 70 HP Yanmar diesel engines. Camarines Sur II agrarian reform chief Maria Gracia R. Sales, DAR has already distributed the farm equipment last year. “Its provision is to help our agrarian reform beneficiaries increase or improve their farm efficiency and production,” Sales said.
