DAR distributes land titles to Cam Norte farmers

WEB Reg05 CloaDist 20150921 01The Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) recently distributed land titles to 14 agrarian reform beneficiaries (ARBs) in Barangay Calasgasan in Daet, Camarines Norte.

DAR Provincial Agrarian Reform Program Officers Roseller Olayres and Camilo Del Monte led the distribution of certificate of land ownership award (CLOAs) to the farmers on September 3, 2015 during the ARBs forum conducted by the department for the municipality of Daet.

A total of 16.3045 hectares were distributed under the compulsory acquisition (CA) and voluntary land transfer (VLT) schemes, 9.2627 hectares of them are from the town of Capalonga and 7.0418 hectares are from Daet.

Aside from CLOAs, the ARBs also received a corresponding tax declaration of their landholdings.

“This policy issuance on the provision of Tax Declaration along with the CLOA is the brainchild of the Provincial Agrarian Reform Coordinating Committee (PARCCOM) here in Camarines Norte. With this tax declaration, the ARBs can pay their taxes right away,” said Olayres.

“This scheme will also to help the government local government boost their tax collection on real property,” added Olayres.

The CLOA distribution were assisted by the Municipal Agrarian Reform Program Officers Erlinda Lee and Bernie Flores of Daet and Capalonga respectively and the PARCCOM officers headed by Chairperson Rosario Pascual. (Ning Lagatuz & Julie Botardo)
