Provincial Agrarian Reform Program Officer (PARPO) Alexander T. Teves said the post-harvest facility was constructed over a lot donated by San Andres Mayor Peter Cua located in barangay Datag.

“The facility is worth P8.6 million and was funded by the Government of Japan through the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), its implementing arm. It has a warehouse, a solar dryer and a small office for farmers and members of the BisCab Multipurpose Cooperative,” said Teves.

The DAR also turned over an agrarian reform information & marketing center (AIM-C) to serve as marketing arm of farmers’ cooperatives in the province.

“The AIM-C was constructed to develop, promote and market products of agrarian reform communities through trading, selling and training seminars for farmers,” said Teves.
