PBD Lawyering

news reg 2 pix 1 jan. 29 2016The Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) conducted the Program Beneficiaries Development (PBD) Lawyering to help farmers and their organizations have access to credit facilities and other financial services from various sources.

DAR Legal Officer Lilia Villegas and Ms. Emma Lim Dy, a Naga-based certified public accountant stood as the resource persons for the training 

Villegas said the training also seeks to attract private investments and create opportunities for growing and expanding farmers’ enterprises.

“To help enhance financial health and viability, the farmers were also taught how to manage their farms as business enterprises,” Villegas added.

Also known as “enterprise lawyering,” PDB Lawyering is currently focused on financial management and contract review.
