Catanduanes ARBOs join PBD staff in planning session

Catanduanes TribuneTo give way to a fresh start, the Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) Provincial Program Beneficiaries Development Division conducted a joint planning session with the different Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries’ Organization (ARBO) recently.

The PPBD Division under CARPO Nerisa Aldea held the event at the Virac Town Center Mall at Gogon, Virac, for the first batch on March 18, followed by the second batch on March 21.

During the sessions, CARPO Aldea emphasized that the ARBOs need to be truly mainstreamed in the different activities under PBD especially now that the province is about to go full swing in its PBD works. She further encouraged the ARBOs to show up in their organizational maturity levels, taking off from their current status. She said that at this point, the PBD would intensify its documentation of ARBO and farmer beneficiary achievers in the Agrarian Reform Communities in Catanduanes.

In the same vein, PARPO Alex Teves likewise appreciated the presence of the different ARBOs who came from the 11 municipalities of the province during the first leg of the planning session. PARPO Teves enjoined the PBD staff to innovate further in coming up with work strategies to enhance ARB participation in the ARBOs.

Other key PBD staff who discussed their respective topics during the session were ARPO-IIs Nemia Beo, Manuel Reyes, Rebecca Clemente, Statistician Anne Perez and Dr. John Joseph Camu. The participants received their certificates of attendance at the close of the activity.

Twenty-nine ARBOs represented by their respective ARC chairpersons were present during the planning session, which was aimed at coming up with synchronized plans and programs on PBD for CY 2016. There are about 106 barangays from the 20 ARCs in Catanduanes
